With the benevolence of the glorious and eternal Sam T. Cat, I have taken on this week's This Week in Cats, which I was sorely tempted to call This Christmas in Cats because - guess what - it’s Christmas!! Merry Christmas! And Happy Hanukkah! Happy Holidays! Season’s Greetings! I really love this time of year. There are so many happy things you can say to strangers. Sorry, my inner dog person is coming out, hold on. Okay. Back to cats.

What does this picture mean?

If you’re anything like me, you’re obsessed with cats. But that’s not all! You’re not just a walking embodiment of felinophilia. You are also a bundle of desire, especially when you’ve just finished watching or reading something wonderful. Not content with the happiness you’ve just experienced, you become overwhelmed with what comes next: “I want more! Where is my more?”

In the spirit of more, here’s my list of what I enjoyed in 2016 and what I’m looking forward to in 2017.

Reminder: There Are Still Kittens

The world is a mess. The status, as Dr. Horrible would say, is not quo. But there are still kittens. We are grateful for kittens.
