I always hated workshopping my writing in college. Incredibly anxiety-inducing. I can't imagine doing it with a set of my friends who were actually in my story.

Lucifer: My Best Fiend's Wedding

"Drama? It's Maze and big feelings. What could possibly go wrong?"

Does the reappearance of an ex-husband count as something going wrong?

Lucifer: A Lot Dirtier Than That

"Maze and Linda gave you the same advice? That's odd."

Is it that odd? Sure, Maze might throw in a few more suggestions of violence and psychological torture, but I feel like she and Linda usually give similar advice when they need to be serious.

Lucifer: The Murder of Lucifer Morningstar

"Just when I thought I heard it all. Future child angst being faced by present day parents."

And just when Linda was getting bored with adulterous yoga instructors too.

Lucifer: Pin the Tail on the Daddy

"It's like an M. Night Shyamalan movie up in here."

I'm not sure if that's a comparison that you want to make, Ella. His movies tend to bring out very divided opinions, especially when it comes to their endings.

Are animated episodes popping up in live action genre shows the new musical episodes popping up in genre shows? Because if so, I can't say that I hate this trend.

Well, not yet. At least frogs aren't falling from the sky, or anything crazy like that. That would be serious cause for concern.

Only on Lucifer could such a line be sweet and romantic and not make me immediately roll my eyes.

Lucifer: A Chance at a Happy Ending

"Maybe I can't control my guilt, but I sure as hell can channel my anger."

Lucifer had one hell of an act to follow with the absolute powerhouse that was the last episode. So how did this reworked series finale turn out?

Lucifer: Nothing Lasts Forever

"The darker the darkness, the brighter the light."

It was a proper family reunion this episode, wasn't it?

Lucifer: A Little Harmless Stalking

"Of course I was mad. You broke my heart."
"I did? That's awesome! I mean, that's awful. Awful."

This almost felt like an episode straight out of Season One or Two. The cop side of the "Devil Cop" was on full display this time around.

Lucifer: Daniel Espinoza: Naked and Afraid

"It's like being teased by Genghis Khan or Darth Vader."

Alternate title: "Dan Espinoza and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." How many concussions did he get? Three?

Lucifer: Resting Devil Face

"Family. Can't live with them, no longer have the power to banish them to an alternate reality."

I'm not sure if sending God to some alternate reality is really going to help things. Especially if it's the same reality that Mom went to.

Lucifer: Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam

"Dance, children!"

To quote the Netflix episode description: "It's a musical episode? It's a musical episode." Considering how many songs are part of the show naturally, it was really only a matter of time before we got a full on musical.

Lucifer: Family Dinner

"I just thanked God for napkins."

"You did so much better than I would have done."

God has arrived. After years of hearing about Him, we finally get to see the Big Man in action. I wasn't quite sure what I was expecting when I went into this episode. Was Lucifer wrong about his perception of his father? Was he right? Was the truth somewhere in the middle?

Lucifer: Spoiler Alert

"You know I hate it when you fight."

Well then. I certainly wasn't expecting that cliffhanger. How long until the rest of the episodes are released again?

Lucifer: Our Mojo

"OMG! I was so ready to have my Deckerstar dreams crushed again."

This was a very, very good episode, one that immediately made me want to watch the next one. What more can you ask from a penultimate episode?
