True Blood: Thank You

"Love is love, plain and simple."

Not an unbearable series finale, I suppose. But even though I enjoyed this last season and all of the tying up of loose ends, this final episode was just a bit too feel-good for me.

True Blood: Love Is To Die

"I swear to God talking to him tonight was like talking to a suicidal toddler."

True Blood: Almost Home

"What are we doing now? We're doing something stupid, aren't we?"

Again, I spent most of the episode waiting for a character I care about to die.

True Blood: May Be the Last Time

"Death comes for all of us, and your number's up."

True Blood: Karma

"Well, hell. He was a bona fide vampire god six months ago."

One thing about True Blood that I've often complained about is a lack of focus on the main characters. Not this season. It's all about our main characters resolving their issues, and that is definitely working for me.

True Blood: Lost Cause

"Nothing's gonna help heal this pain you're feeling but time. And tequila."

This was the second exceptional episode in a row.

True Blood: Death is Not the End

Pam: "I hate Shreveport."
Eric: "Oh, come on. It'll be a trip down Memory Lane."

And what a trip it was. Maybe having an end in sight is giving the writers creative juice, because this was an absolutely excellent episode.

True Blood: Fire in the Hole

"The fall wasn't the worst part. It was the waiting."

Much, much better. Even with the Shakespearean bloodbath. Okay, maybe it was just a Shakespearean puddle.

True Blood: I Found You

"Damn. I knew it! And all this time I was blaming the NyQuil."

True Blood: Jesus Gonna Be Here

"For every human a vampire. For every vampire a human."

Why so serious? True Blood usually isn't this serious.

This Week: SPN in the NYT – The Star Wars EU – Wondercon Wonderfulness – Whedon in Tribeca – There Will Be (True) Blood – Omar Comin’ to Amazon – Cats: The Next Frontier?

True Blood: Radioactive

Warlow: "In a thousand, two thousand years, you'll learn to love me."
Sookie: "I don't think so!"

Can I say, I told you so?

True Blood: Life Matters

Jason: "How dare you speak for God?"

This was the best episode of True Blood I've seen in years.

True Blood: Dead Meat

"Destiny's too much of a bitch to keep fighting."

This one just may have been about fate. Do you think?

True Blood: In the Evening

"And so we end as we began."

Oh my, that was sad. And gooey.

True Blood: Don't You Feel Me

Jason: "Could you define 'copulation'?"

You know, I'm liking Willa a whole heck of a lot. Is that how I'm supposed to feel about Warlow?

True Blood: Fuck the Pain Away

Jessica: "I don't know why God doesn't strike me down right now. Except that maybe God is Bill."

If there was a theme to this one (other than all of the gratuitous sex), it was daddy issues. Mostly bad daddy issues.

True Blood: At Last

Willa: "Is it gonna hurt?"
Eric: "Not the way I do it."

The Sookie developments were probably the most important part of the episode. But my favorite part was...

True Blood: You're No Good

Sookie: "You're not God, Bill. You're just an asshole."

How cute was that Eric-and-Willa-in-a-kingsize-coffin scene, with the finger-sucking and all?

True Blood: The Sun

Sookie: "I shouldn't be taking walks with handsome strangers. It never ends well."

Guess who's coming to dinner?
